You woke up from the sound of your alarm clock beeping. You reluctantly reached your hand over to the nightstand and turned it off. Sitting up with a groan, you looked at your calendar by the window. A big grin took over your face and you jumped out of bed and ran to the shower. Today was yours and Romano’s three month anniversary. You two hadn’t done anything for your first or second month anniversaries and Romano had suggested that you and he should go out. Romano had already planned to take you a really nice Italian restaurant for a date and you assumed that he had other things planned too. Just one thing was bothering you, why now was he taking you out for your anniversary? It’s not that you weren’t thrilled, it’s just the fact that he had planned no outings or events for your other anniversaries. Why would he choose your third anniversary to do something? Maybe three was his favorite number or something, you didn’t really know what to think of it. You stepped out of the shower and rung out your (h/l)(h/c) hair. After much debate with yourself over what you should wear, you decided to wear a short (f/c) dress that flattered your figure very nicely and a pair of high-heels that matched the dress. Once you slipped on the dress, you curled your hair and added some makeup to complete your look. You stood in front of the mirror, quite pleased with the outcome of your outfit. Noting the time was 7:30am and Romano would be come at 8:30am to come pick you up, you feed Bluebell and Jarrah and checked yourself in the mirror several times before you decided to go downstairs to do some paperwork to pass the time. You knew that Romano was most likely going to be a little late in coming to get you, as he always was. You remember the time he had told you that it is suiting to be fashionably late, you just rolled your eyes and laughed at the handsome Italian. You smiled at that memory. Whenever you thought about Romano, you felt your heart warm and butterflies tickle your stomach. You sighed contently and rested your cheek in the palm of your hand and began to play with the silver heart-shaped locket that Romano had bought for you. Your head shot up when you heard the sound of a car park in your driveway. You looked at the time. ‘It’s only 8:25, that can’t be Romano.’ You thought to yourself. You were brought back from you thoughts when a knock came at your door. You walked over and opened it. You blushed and smiled to see Romano dressed in a blood red button down and black khakis, topped off with a sexy black leather belt. In his right hand he held a bouquet of (favorite flowers). “W-Wow.” You whispered in awe. “Wow to you-a too, Bella.” Romano said in a rather seductive tone. You blushed and tucked a piece of your curled (h/c) hair behind your ear. Romano handed you the bouquet and you gladly accepted it from him. “They’re beautiful. Thank you.” You thanked the Italian. “I saw them and-a thought of you…and how much you love-a flowers.” He said with a sweet smile. You smiled back at him. It was true, you really did love flowers. You brought Romano inside and placed the flowers in a vase by the front window. Once you had finished doing that, Romano took you by the hand and lead you to his car.

Romano parked out outside of the restaurant and got out of the car. He coolly walked over to your side and helped you out. You took his hand and walked to the restaurant’s polished-wood door. Romano gripped its firm gold-painted handle and opened the door for you. You gave him a look of confusion mixed with a bit of a smirk.  First Romano shows up early dressed really nicely with your favorite flowers, then he opens the car down for you and now he was holding the restaurant door for you? You were very flattered by all of this but you couldn’t help but notice that his behavior was a little more than suspicious. Romano just smiled back at you as you walked inside. Your mouth dropped opened by how nice the restaurant was. The walls were a lovely shade of velvet red and the table cloth matched it perfectly. There was a large crystal chandelier attached to the ceiling and other smaller chandeliers around the large room. Every table was set up with elegant whine glasses and glowing candles. “W-Wow….” You said nearly speechless. “Impressed?” Romano asked walking to your side. You nodded not being able to respond with words. Romano gently took your hand and led you to a table with crystal-clear plates and whine glasses. He pulled out one of the black leather chairs and beckoned you to sit in it. After sitting in your chair, Romano sat in his own. “R-Romano this is really nice.” You said looking around you, once again. “Si, it is-a. Being able to sit here with-a you makes it all the better.” Romano lushly smirked at you. You blushed out of shyness and looked away in embarrassment. Romano took your hand into his. Letting his lips liger over your hand for a moment, lightly brushing the skin of it, he kissed it. You felt a shiver of pleasure tingle down your spine. Romano looked up from your hand into your (e/c) eyes and slowly leaned forward, bringing your hand closer to him. You knew what he wanted and gladly obliged by leaning forward and letting your lips meet his. Romano kissed you passionately and eventually broke for air, leaving you panting a little. “R-Roma.” You panted looking those hazel eyes that you loved so much. “Si, mi amore?” Romano asked with his eyes half-lidded. You opened your mouth to say something but the waiter walked over to your table. “How may I help you today?” The waiter asked politely. “May I have the baked frittata with mozzarella, please?” You replied. “Yes madam. And you, Sir?”  “I would like-a the breakfast pizza, prego.” Romano said without a second thought. You quietly giggled at your boyfriend and his love for pizza. “And-a could you bring us some red whine?” The waiter nodded and walked away from the table. Romano turned back to you. You giggled and playfully rolled your eyes, knowing that Italians had a thing for red whine. “What were-a you saying before, diletto?” He asked. You shook your head. “Nothing, important.” You said, leaning in for another kiss, which Romano delightfully obliged. After a while of waiting and talking to Romano, your food finally came. “Grazie.” You said to the waiter and he bowed in reply. Romano smirked at you, while taking a sip of whine from his glass. “Feeling Italian, mi amore?” He winked at you causing you to giggle. “Maybe~.” You replied in a singsong voice. Romano kissed your cheek and you both began to eat.

You politely wiped your mouth with a napkin and set it down on your now empty plate. Romano set down his fork onto his plate and sighed contently. “Pizza is-a good for anytime.” Romano stated. You smirked and leaned forward a little bit. “That is true but you are better for anytime.” You winked at the Italian. Romano blushed a delightful shade of pink, causing you to chuckle lightly. You and Romano walked out the door of the Italian restaurant. “That was amazing.” You said, walking down the sidewalk. “Si, it was-a.” Romano agreed and took your hand for the fourth time that day. You smiled up at him and he smiled back. “So where to now?” You asked curiously. Romano smirked lightly. “I-a want to take you somewhere special, but-a….” Romano trailed off. “But what?” You asked with a raised eyebrow. “I don’t want-a to know where I am taking you-a yet.” The Italian explained. “Okay…” You said slightly confused; why would he not want you to know where he was taking you? “Bella….Do-a you trust me?” Romano asked, his hazel eyes gazing into yours. Your heart sank right there; why would he think that you didn’t trust him? “Romano, of course I trust you, you’re my whole world. I love you.” You replied somewhat hurt by his question. You would have never guessed what happened next. Romano smirked and pulled out a blindfold. Quickly covering your eyes with the piece of cloth, Romano took both of your hands and began to lead you. You smirked to yourself, feeling like an idiot. You should have expected this out of your Italian love. Romano stopped you and told you to wait for a moment. You heard a car door open and Romano lead you to your seat and helped you in.

You heard the car stop and Romano getting out. You felt your door open and Romano’s hand on yours, helping you out. You walked with the Italian hand in hand. He would tell you to step down or up every once in a while. After what seemed like hours of walking, Romano halted you. “What?” You asked wondering if something was the matter. “Alright-a. We are almost there-a.” Romano stated. You sighed in relief. “Finally” You whispered, your legs feeling a little weak. The Italian chuckled at you. Without warning you felt a hand under your knees and the other on your back. You squeaked in surprise and gripped his shoulders for dear life as Romano proceeded to pick you up bridal style. Romano chuckled at your cuteness. He loved the little sounds you made when you were surprised or giddy. You heard Romano footsteps become quieter; possibly because he was walking on something soft, like grass. You felt him stop and he gently sat down, setting you onto his lap. You felt his chest heave a deep breath as he settled down more and relaxed his muscles. “Ro-Romano?” You asked. “Shhhh~.” He said softly and kissed your cheek. After a moment or two more, Romano untied the blindfold and uncovered your (e/c) eyes. You blinked a couple of times, your vision trying to focus. Rubbing your eyes you looked up at your Italian boyfriend. He chuckled at you, not being able to get over how adorable you were. He kissed your nose causing you to blush and turn you head in embarrassment. You gasped at the sight around you. Romano had taken you to a quiet little stream surrounded by all sorts of beautiful and exotic flowers. “Roma, it’s…be-beautiful.” You said in wonderment. “Si, it is. My mamma sangue used to take me-a here before she died.” Romano said looking up at the sky hoping that she was watching. Romano looked back at you and froze. Tears trickled down your face and you sniffled. “(f/n), why are you crying?” He asked worried. You rapped you arms around the Italian and hugged him tightly. “I’m just so honored that you have shared this place with me. It just makes me realize how blessed I am to have you.” You sniffled. Romano hugged you back just as tightly. “Non, (f/n). I am-a the lucky one, to have you as la mia ragazza.” Romano said and paused for a moment. “And that-a is why I want to spend the-a rest of my life with-a you.” He said looking down at you. Your eyes widen in shock when you realized what the Italian met. Romano picked you up off his lap and set you down in front of him. He moved himself so that he was kneeling down on one knee. You covered your mouth and whimpered with joy as he pulled out a black box and opened it. It held a delicate silver ring with a diamond in the center. “(fn), ti amo cosi tanto.  Mi vuoi sposare, Will you-a marry me?” Romano asked, his eyes gazing into your wet (e/c) ones. “Of-Of course.” You whispered, those words being the only ones you could muster. Romano smiled up at you; it was a real smile, nothing close to a smirk. He gently took your hand and placed the ring on your finger. You sobbed with joy and kissed him passionately. Romano kissed you back and stroked your (h/c) hair. You broke for air and panted. “Ti amo, Roma.” You sniffled. “Ti amo troppo, (f/n).” The Italian said, holding you close. After a moment in a comfortable silence, a question popped into your head. “Hey Romano?” You asked. “Si, mi amore?” He replied. “Do the others know about our engagement?” You asked curiously. “Not yet-a.” Romano shook his head. You smirked and giggled. “What-a?” The Italian asked, confused at your reaction. “What do you think they will say when they find out?” You asked seductively while fluttering your eyelashes. “I don’t know-a….Guess we should find out, huh?” He asked, smirking widely at you. You giggled at his smirk, you absolutely loved it. “To the café?” You asked with a sexily raised eyebrow. Romano chuckled and helped you up. “I can’t see-a why not.” The Italian and lead you back to the car and drove to the café.
